Job summary
Peninsula Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Desk Nurse (LVN/LPN) to deliver quality nursing care, oversee daily resident activities, and support nursing staff. This role promotes a safe, compassionate environment for residents.
The ideal candidate holds an active California LVN/LPN license with CPR/BLS certification and experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential; flexible scheduling is offered.
Qualifications
- Active California LVN/LPN license and CPR/BLS certification.
- Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care preferred.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and administer medications as ordered.
- Monitor resident health and report changes to physicians.
- Complete charting and maintain medical records.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Supervise and support CNAs and nursing staff during shifts.
- Transcribe physician orders and maintain resident medical records.
- Respond to resident, family, and staff concerns professionally.
- Ensure infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in care planning, quality assurance, and team meetings.
- Maintain adequate nursing supplies and medication inventory.
