Peninsula Post Acute in Burlingame, CA seeks a Part-Time Desk Nurse (LVN/LPN) to provide quality nursing care, oversee resident care activities, and support the nursing staff.

The role requires an active California LVN/LPN license and CPR/BLS certification. Prior skilled nursing or post-acute care experience is preferred, with PCC experience welcomed. Flexible scheduling and competitive hourly pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Current, active California LVN/LPN license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Skilled nursing or post-acute care experience preferred.
• PointClickCare (PCC) experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Monitor resident health and report changes to physicians and supervisors.
• Complete accurate charting and clinical documentation.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Supervise and support CNAs and nursing assistants during assigned shifts.
• Transcribe physician orders and maintain resident medical records.
• Respond to resident, family, and staff concerns professionally.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in care planning, quality assurance, and team meetings.
• Maintain adequate nursing supplies and medication inventory.
