Job summary

Peninsula Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Desk Nurse (LVN/LPN) to provide quality nursing care, oversee daily resident care activities, and support nursing staff in a fast-paced post-acute setting. The role requires an active California LVN/LPN license and CPR/BLS certification, with experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care preferred.

PCC experience is a plus; strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active California LVN/LPN license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care preferred.
• Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Monitor resident health and report changes to physicians and supervisors.
• Complete accurate charting and clinical documentation.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Supervise and support CNAs and nursing assistants during assigned shifts.
• Transcribe physician orders and maintain resident medical records.
• Respond to resident, family, and staff concerns professionally.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in care planning, quality assurance, and team meetings.
• Maintain adequate nursing supplies and medication inventory.
