Job summary

Peninsula Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Desk Nurse (LVN/LPN) to provide quality nursing care, oversee daily resident care activities, and support nursing staff. This role requires active California LVN/LPN license and CPR/BLS certification.

You will administer medications, monitor resident health, document accurately, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, compassionate care. The position offers a flexible schedule within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Current, active California LVN/LPN license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care preferred.
• PointClickCare (PCC) experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Monitor resident health and report changes to physicians and supervisors.
• Complete accurate charting and clinical documentation.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Supervise and support CNAs and nursing assistants during assigned shifts.
• Transcribe physician orders and maintain resident medical records.
• Respond to resident, family, and staff concerns professionally.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Participate in care planning, quality assurance, and team meetings.
• Maintain adequate nursing supplies and medication inventory.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and administer medications and treatments as ordered.


• Monitor resident health and report changes to physicians and supervisors.
