Job summary

Sotheby’s in New York is seeking a Client Experience Representative to deliver a seamless, luxurious experience for every client. You will collaborate with Client Advisors, Registrars, Galleries and other teams to uphold Sotheby’s high standards across all salons.

The role requires a university degree and 1–2 years of relevant experience, preferably in art or luxury retail, with fluency in English and Chinese. Evening and weekend availability is expected to support premier client service.

Qualifications

• University graduate with 1–2 years relevant working experience preferred.
• Experience in art or luxury retail industry and/or client servicing is desirable.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese is essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is advantageous.
• Excellent client service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be the welcoming face of Sotheby’s to deliver first class services to all clients including answering general enquiries, resolving client issues for all functionalities of the Maison in light of the company's standard.
• Provide transactional support to clients including processing payment transactions for all applicable methods with high level of compliance and accuracy.
• Assist in enquiries, bids and paddle registration, account setup and troubleshooting; facilitate the fulfillment process for both auction and retail property.
• Work closely with Registrars, Facilities Management, Postsale Services, Bids Department, and other teams to ensure smooth client experience.
• Perform ad hoc projects and duties as assigned by the manager; demonstrate understanding of security and compliance policies.
