Job summary

The Cooper's Lea Boutique in Charleston, SC seeks a part-time Retail Attendant to deliver Forbes 5-Star service in a luxury boutique setting. You will greet guests, provide personalized shopping recommendations, and help maintain an elegant presentation while handling POS transactions with discretion.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in luxury retail or hospitality, superb communication skills, and a passion for fashion and wellness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of retail, guest service, or hospitality experience—luxury or boutique environment preferred.
• Forbes 5-Star or AAA Five Diamond hotel or resort experience is highly desirable.
• Passionate about service, fashion, and wellness, with an eye for aesthetic detail and presentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; poised, articulate, and professional.
• Proficient with POS systems and basic computer operations.
• Able to handle transactions with integrity and maintain guest confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests warmly and professionally, using guest names when known.
• Provide personalized shopping assistance, product recommendations, and thoughtful gift suggestions.
• Build rapport with guests, including VIP clients, and maintain records of preferences and past purchases.
• Ensure guests are acknowledged upon entry and receive seamless service throughout their boutique experience.
• Process all point-of-sale transactions including cash, credit, room charges, gift cards, and exchanges.
• Handle returns or issues with grace and empathy, enabling service recovery.
• Assist with packaging and wrapping purchases to luxury standards.
• Deliver purchases to guest rooms or coordinate with Concierge or Bell Staff as needed.
• Maintain an elegant boutique environment with seasonal displays and brand standards.
• Replenish merchandise, restock shelves, and ensure proper tagging and display.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock concerns to management.
• Assist with inventory counts and processes.
