Job summary

Thisiscny in Syracuse is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver individualized care under the supervision of an RN, including meds administration, vital signs, blood draws and EKGs. Active NYS LPN licensure and CPR certification are required; one year post-licensure nursing experience is preferred.

Work days rotate weekends and holidays; internal applicants only considered for the first 10 days of posting.

Qualifications

• Meets NYS Civil Service appointment requirements for the title of T&R Center LPN.
• LPN licensure and registration as outlined by NYS Education Department.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Administers care aligned with the plan of care and standards.
• Medication administration, obtaining vital signs, drawing blood, and EKGs.
• Contributes to the plan of care and maintains a safe, professional environment.
