Job summary

Thisiscny Syracuse is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to administer individualized patient care in the Nursing-ED-Adult unit. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will administer medications, take vital signs, draw blood, and help with EKGs while upholding standards of care.

Ideal candidates have NYS LPN licensure, CPR certification, and about a year of post-licensure nursing experience; days with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Meets NYS Civil Service appointment requirements for the LPN title.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1 year post-licensure nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers care aligned with the plan of care and standards of practice.
• Reports any change in patient condition to the RN.
• Administers medications and performs hands-on nursing care.
• Obtains vital signs, draws blood, and assists with EKGs.
• Supports patient/family teaching under RN supervision.
• Contributes to plan of care and maintains a safe environment.
