Job summary

Optim Orthopedics in Georgia is seeking a licensed practical nurse for part-time as-needed support in the Screven/Sylvania area. The role involves direct patient care under RN supervision, medication administration, and coordination with the healthcare team to ensure safe patient care.

Ideal candidates will have GA LPN licensure, BLS certification, and 6–12 months of experience or completion of an accredited LPN program, with strong English communication and basic computer skills.

• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under supervision of a RN, evaluates outcomes, consults with other healthcare team members as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
• Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients under the direction of an RN, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients.
• Able to ventilate a patient with mask/ambu bag when necessary.
• Maintains accurate nursing documentation including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses and assessment of changes.
• Performs venipuncture, prepares, hangs, monitors and discontinues IV fluids.
• administers medications via IM, Subcu, IV, PO, Rectally, Topically, Intradermally and Inhalation.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and follows regulatory requirements.
