Job summary

Optim is seeking a part-time as-needed LPN in Screven/Sylvania, GA to provide direct patient care under RN supervision in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment. You will support physicians and nursing staff, perform assessments, and administer medications across multiple routes.

The role requires an LPN license in Georgia, current BLS, and 6–12 months of experience or completion of an accredited LPN program. Strong communication and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Current LPN licensure in the State of Georgia.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of six months to one year work experience or completion of accredited LPN program.
• Successful completion of arrhythmia course.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of an RN, evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing care accordingly.
• Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients under the direction of an RN.
• Ability to assess and treat pain and educate on pain management.
• Administer medications via IM, Subcutaneous, IV, PO, Rectal, Topical, Intradermal and Inhalation routes.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation including patient histories, conditions, treatments and changes.
• Obtain EKGs and monitor cardiac activity, identify dysrhythmias.
• Ventilate patients with bag-valve mask when necessary.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to hospital policies and infection control.
