Job summary

Lorenz Clinic in Rosemount, MN is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to serve as a point person for the psychiatry department and assist clinicians with patient care in an outpatient behavioral health setting. This role is 16 hours per week, scheduled Thursdays and Fridays, non-exempt, hourly.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse license required.
• One year of psychiatric or outpatient Mental Health experience with adults/adolescents.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Clean criminal background as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care and educate patients about medications in outpatient psychiatry.
• Liaise between psychiatric providers and patients; collaborate with the care team.
• Communicate the plan of care with patient, family, and providers.
• Document vital signs and monitor medication effects and side effects.
• Maintain patient confidentiality; participate in team meetings and training.
