Job summary

The Lorenz Clinic is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a part-time, non-exempt position. The role supports psychiatry clinicians, coordinates patient care, and assists with medication management in an outpatient behavioral health setting.

Thursdays and Fridays, totaling 16 hours per week. Requires LPN, BLS, and at least 1 year of psychiatric/outpatient experience. A strong team player with confidentiality and crisis-intervention skills is preferred.

Qualifications

• LPN/CMA/CNA from an accredited program.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current and valid BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• One year of psychiatric or outpatient Mental Health/Behavioral Health or Addiction/substance abuse experience with adults and/or adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Assists in patient education and coordination around medication management in an outpatient behavioral health clinic.
• Acts as liaison between psychiatric providers and patients; collaborates with the care team.
• Communicates plan of care with patients and families; ensures timely follow-up on medications and side effects.
• Obtain and document vital signs and accurately administer medications as ordered.
• Educate patients on medications; maintain confidentiality of records and patient information.
• Use clinical judgement to intervene for patients in crisis; adhere to departmental policies.
