Job summary

Saginaw Valley State University is seeking a part-time Logistics Specialist to manage receiving, processing and delivery of goods, central stores orders, and outgoing shipments. You will support mail operations and the graphics center as needed.

Responsibilities include unloading and inspecting shipments, verifying against purchase orders, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with departments to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Experience in receiving, shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload, receive, inspect, scan and provide timely delivery of incoming supplier freight and packages.
• Process receipts in Workday as a critical step in the three-way match process.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and other departments regarding receipt/shipment issues.
• Monitor inventory and place orders to replenish stock as needed.
• Provide operational reports and data regarding logistics activities to relevant stakeholders.
• Train student employees in departmental procedures and use of technology.
