Job summary

Carlo's Bakery Lackawanna is seeking a part-time Logistics Administrator to support distribution center workflows and customer satisfaction. You will handle POs, prepare and verify BOLs, and manage export documents as needed.

The role requires 2-5 years of logistics experience, familiarity with ERP and TMS systems, and strong communication and Excel skills. You will coordinate with Transportation Coordinators and trucking partners to ensure on-time fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in operations management or logistics is preferred.
• 2-5 years of logistics experience is required.
• Experience with ERP systems & TMS systems is required.
• High IT affinity with warehouse systems.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in a diverse environment; able to effectively communicate with multiple levels of the organization.
• Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives/tasks with a strict focus on deadlines.
• Strong Microsoft Excel experience.

Responsibilities

• Confirm purchase orders / general communication with customers.
• Prepares bills of lading for shipments to customers and verifies BOL's with actual load sheet.
• Obtain dimensions and documents for export shipments. Generates export documents when necessary / create ship tickets.
• Help maintain inventory accuracy and MRP requirements by monitoring and allocating inventory using company system.
• Become proficient in the use of the Transportation Management System and ERP system.
• Contacts trucking firms for rate quotes and pick-ups for expedited orders for the entire outbound operation / communicate as needed with trucking partners.
• Reports shortages or overages to appropriate resources.
• Works directly with Transportation Coordinators.
• Files damage claims with trucking companies for payment.
• Maintain accurate, complete paperwork and proper forwarding of all documentation.
• Research any discrepancies that arise and work with all parties until resolved.
• Maintain accurate spreadsheet on all incoming material and outgoing product shipments.
• Maintain required files and file all required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Complete forms and paperwork for office personnel as required.
• Maintain warehouse supply spreadsheet as required.
