Job summary

Reading Bakery Systems in Robesonia, PA is seeking an experienced International Shipping Specialist to manage daily shipping operations, prepare international documents, and coordinate with carriers to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires precision, HTS knowledge, and ERP system experience; forklift certification is preferred and candidates must be able to work on-site in a manufacturing/shipping-dock environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 8 years of global shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience.
• Experience preparing international shipping and customs documents, commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
• Familiarity with HTS classifications, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and international carriers.
• Experience using UPS, FedEx, DHL, or similar shipping systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and an ERP or inventory system; Microsoft D365 experience is a plus.
• Forklift experience preferred; company certification will be required.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage changing priorities, communicate clearly, and follow issues through to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, label and prepare parts, equipment components and customer samples for domestic and international shipment.
• Complete international shipping and customs documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading and certificates of origin.
• Coordinate shipments with UPS, FedEx, DHL, freight carriers, customs brokers and freight forwarders.
• Compare freight options, schedule pickups, track deliveries and help resolve delays, damage or customs issues.
• Receive incoming materials and maintain accurate shipping, receiving and inventory transactions in Microsoft D365.
• Load and unload trucks and safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment.
• Assist with cycle counts and keep the shipping and receiving area organized, clean and safe.
