Job summary

The Harbor Bank of Maryland is seeking a part-time Loan Operations Administrator in Baltimore, MD to support loan processing and servicing for commercial, residential mortgage, and retail loans. This role includes boarding new loans, maintaining loan data, handling payments, escrow activity, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key duties include reviewing system maintenance, reconciling ledgers, processing loan transactions, and assisting audits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of State and Federal regulatory requirements and general banking compliance requirements pertaining to servicing and monitoring of commercial, real estate and consumer loans and escrow processing.
• Preferred: 2-year college and 3-5 years of banking experience or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Review daily system generated maintenance reports to validate loan system records and ensure general ledger accounts are maintained.
• Perform daily and monthly settlement and reconciliation of loan related general ledger and escrow accounts.
• Read and interpret loan documents to validate accuracy before boarding loans onto core system.
• Perform loan maintenance for renewal, extension and modification of existing loans.
• Process loan payments, advances, payoffs and other transactions for all loans.
• Process escrow transactions, including setup, analysis and disbursement of funds for escrow accounts.
• Research and resolve routine inquiries from customers regarding loan balances, payments, and escrow disbursements.
• Provide support for audits and compliance reviews.
• Communicate with insurance agencies to obtain renewals and initiate forced place insurance.
• Scan and file documents for loan operations.
• Process loan transactions for affiliate organizations as required.
• Ensure not to engage in acts that are misleading, unfair, deceptive, or abusive.
• Comply with federal and state regulations and complete required training.
