Job summary

Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens, Inc. seeks a Fee for Service Licensed Social Worker to provide direct services in our outpatient mental health programs.

Under a Clinical Supervisor, you will conduct initial interviews, crisis intervention, and ongoing therapy with individuals, groups, and families, while maintaining documentation and contractual standards. The role requires a Master’s in Social Work, NYS LMSW license, and the ability to obtain an NPI.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work from a nationally accredited institution.
• Valid NYS LMSW license required.
• Obtain NPI immediately upon employment.
• Must maintain licensure/certifications for NY state.
• Bilingual Spanish or Creole speaking preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct service: conduct individual, family, marital and group therapy as dictated by clinical needs.
• Meet agency documentation requirements: progress notes, treatment plans, intake assessments, and related forms.
• Coordinate referrals to internal and external services to meet client needs.
• Respond to referrals promptly and collaborate with supervisors and staff.
• Caseload up to 20 hours per week; monitor psychiatry appointments and coordinate care.
• Ensure timely billing/documentation for reimbursement and maintain audit readiness.
