Job summary

Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens, Inc. seeks a Fee-for-Service Licensed Social Worker to provide direct services in its outpatient mental health programs in Jackson Heights, NY.

You will work under a clinical supervisor delivering individual, group, and family therapy with a focus on wellness and trauma-informed care. Responsibilities include documentation, referrals, and coordination of psychiatry/medical needs.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work from a nationally accredited institution.
• Valid NYS LMSW required.
• Obtain NPI immediately upon employment.
• Must obtain and maintain all licensure/certifications for which employee is educationally and professionally eligible in NY State.
• Excellent Time Management, organizational and computer skills, ability to evaluate and intervene in crisis situations, be flexible, & have excellent oral & written communications skills.
• Bilingual Spanish or Creole speaking preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide direct service: Conduct individual, family, marital and group therapy as dictated by the client’s clinical needs.
• Caseload size will be dependent on agreed schedule and hours worked not exceeding 20 hours a week.
• Monitor and coordinate psychiatrist psychopharmacology appointments.
• Coordinate physical, medical, and psychological needs for clients.
• Complete and submit all documentation required for Agency reimbursement for services within 24 hours of session in a thorough, complete, accurate and timely fashion.
• Maintain all applicable standards of audit readiness.
• Attend and actively participate in supervision.
• Participate in agency response to serious incidents.
• Participate in meetings with supervisor and other staff trainings.
