Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work from a nationally accredited institution.
• Valid NYS LMSW required.
• Obtain NPI immediately upon employment.
• Must obtain and maintain all licensure/certifications in NY State.
• Excellent Time Management, organizational and computer skills; crisis intervention ability; strong oral and written communications.
• Bilingual Spanish or Creole speaking preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial interview, crisis intervention, and ongoing therapy with individuals, groups and families.
• Write progress notes, treatment plans, intake assessments, termination summaries, and other required documentation.
• Ensure referrals are made to internal and external services as needed to meet client needs.
• Coordinate psychiatrist psychopharmacology appointments; coordinate physical, medical, and psychological needs.
• Complete and submit documentation required for reimbursement within 24 hours of session; maintain audit readiness.
• Attend supervision and participate in staff trainings and agency meetings.
