Job summary

Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens, Inc. is seeking a Fee for Service Licensed Social Worker to provide direct mental health services in outpatient programs.

The role emphasizes crisis intervention, individual, group and family therapy, and meticulous documentation for reimbursement. Under supervision, the clinician will collaborate with a treatment team, maintain clinical licensure, and ensure compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work from a nationally accredited institution.
• Valid NYS LMSW required.
• Obtain NPI immediately upon employment.
• Must obtain and maintain all licensure/certifications for which employee is educationally and professionally eligible in NY State.
• Excellent Time Management, organizational and computer skills, ability to evaluate and intervene in crisis situations, be flexible, & have excellent oral & written communications skills.
• Bilingual Spanish or Creole speaking preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform initial assessment and provide crisis intervention and ongoing therapy for individuals, groups, and families.
• Maintain required service levels and participate in Agency meetings and supervision.
• Meet agency documentation standards including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
• Coordinate referrals to internal and external services to meet client needs.
• Manage a caseload not exceeding 20 hours per week and coordinate psychiatry appointments.
• Complete documentation for reimbursement within 24 hours of session.
