Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management’s Durham Hilton in Durham, NC is seeking a part-time line cook for the AM shift. You will maintain, set up, and produce food for the front line, ensuring quality and consistency of all meat, fish, and other items per standard recipes.

The role requires basic knowledge of cookery, broiler and sauté methods, and a current Food Handler Card. The hotel operates with varied shifts and upholds safety, sanitation and guest service standards.

Qualifications

• Hold a current Food Handler Card.
• 3 years cooking experience preferred. Broiler cooking preferred.
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards and etiquette.
• Knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking methods.

Responsibilities

• Prepares daily preparation lists for production.
• Reads and employs math skills to follow recipes.
• Prepares all broiled and sautéed items according to standard recipes and guest checks.
• Keeps all refrigeration, equipment, storage and work areas clean to comply with health regulations.
• Performs related duties as requested by management.
