Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Richmond’s Midlothian Family YMCA is seeking part-time lifeguards to help keep swimmers safe during 9am-1pm and 1pm-5pm shifts. Compensation is $15-$17 per hour, with training provided if you’re not already certified.

Qualifications include at least 15 years old and current CPR, AED, and First Aid, plus a valid lifeguard certification from American Red Cross or Ellis Lifeguard. The Y supports your development and emphasizes a diverse, inclusive community.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years old.
• CPR, AED and First Aid current.
• Lifeguard certification (ARC or Ellis) current.
• Oxygen administration preferred but not required.
• Y will train interested candidates meeting swim requirements if not certified.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of members and program participants in the pool area.
• Monitor pool activities and enforce pool rules.
• Respond to emergencies and provide basic first aid when needed.
