Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Richmond’s Midlothian Family YMCA is seeking part-time lifeguards to help keep swimmers safe during 9am-1pm and 1pm-5pm shifts. Compensation is $15-$17 per hour, with training provided if you’re not already certified.

Qualifications include at least 15 years old and current CPR, AED, and First Aid, plus a valid lifeguard certification from American Red Cross or Ellis Lifeguard. The Y supports your development and emphasizes a diverse, inclusive community.

Qualifications

• CPR, AED and First Aid current.
• Lifeguard certification (ARC or Ellis) current.
• Oxygen administration preferred but not required.
• Y will train interested candidates meeting swim requirements if not certified.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of members and program participants in the pool area.
• Monitor pool activities and enforce pool rules.
• Respond to emergencies and provide basic first aid when needed.

The Midlothian Family YMCA is seeking part time enthusiastic community members to help save lives and ensure the safety of patrons at our pool! Looking for certified lifeguards or swimmers interested in becoming lifeguards (we will certify you if you qualify)! Work hours are 9am-1pm and 1pm to 5pm. Pay range for this position is $15-$17 per hour.

Candidates must be at least 15 years old and have current CPR, AED, First Aid and either American Red Cross or Ellis Lifeguard certification. Oxygen Administration (O2) is preferred but not required. The Y will train interested candidates who meet basic swim requirements if not already certified!
