Job summary

YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City in Edmond, OK is seeking a part-time Aquatics Lifeguard to help keep swimmers safe and confident in and around the pool. Training will be provided, including CPR/First Aid and lifeguard skills, and you’ll work as part of a friendly team.

Responsibilities include monitoring swimmers, enforcing pool rules, performing rescues when needed, recording incidents, and helping maintain a clean, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Certified lifeguard with CPR/First Aid training.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.
• Ability to communicate clearly in a pool environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool areas for safety and prevent hazards.
• Rescue swimmers in distress and perform lifesaving procedures as needed.
• Enforce pool rules and promote safe behavior.
• Record incidents and maintain accurate logs.
• Attend required trainings and certifications.
• Assist with pool maintenance tasks as assigned.
