YMC in Edmond, Oklahoma is hiring for its Aquatics Team. Whether you’re a lifeguard, a swim instructor, or both, you’ll help swimmers stay safe and confident in the water. No lifeguard experience?

No problem—we’ll train you and start you at $12.00 per hour. Responsibilities include monitoring pool safety, performing rescue and first aid, recording incidents, and attending monthly in-service trainings. You must be certified in PR/CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid, be at least 16, and maintain good

Qualifications

• Must be certified in PR/CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• YMCA Lifeguard or equivalent certification.
• Ability to relate with pool patrons positively.
• Professional, alert, courteous and tactful.
• Strong water skills and top physical fitness.

Responsibilities

• Provide for the welfare and safety of all participants in and around the swimming pool.
• Maintain rescue and lifesaving skills and perform first aid as needed.
• Record incidents on report forms and notify supervisor.
• Attend monthly in-service training.
• Follow pool maintenance duties and pool rules.
• Lock and secure pool doors when closed.
