The YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City is hiring a lifeguard to ensure safe and welcoming pool experiences. You’ll monitor swimmers, perform rescues, enforce rules, and help with daily pool duties. No lifeguard experience? No problem, we’ll train you!

Weekday shifts 11:00 AM–2:00 PM and weekends are required, with CPR/AED/First Aid training provided. Candidates must be 16+ with strong swimming skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Formación

• Must be certified in CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid. Training provided by the YMCA.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• YMCA Lifeguard or equivalent certification (training provided).
• Promote and demonstrate caring, honesty, respect and responsibility to staff, members, and the public.
• Relate to pool patrons positively and maintain professional, alert conduct.
• Maintain strong water skills and fitness to perform rescues.

Responsabilidades

• Provide for welfare and safety of all participants in and around the pool.
• Read, write and do basic math to record incidents or reports.
• Rescue and emergency care of any accident victim and document incidents.
• Lock and secure pool areas when closed and perform daily pool maintenance duties.
• Attend required training and maintain lifesaving skills.
• Develop meaningful relationships with members, donors and volunteers.
