Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current lifeguarding certification accepted by employer.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required for lifeguarding.
• Ability to demonstrate rescue, emergency response, and surveillance skills.
• Clear communication, rule enforcement, and attentiveness during rotations.
• Must complete site orientation and in-service training.

Responsibilities

• Identify hazards and potential incidents during supervision.
• Maintain active surveillance and remain rescue-ready throughout shifts.
• Perform water rescues, provide first aid, CPR, and AED as trained.
• Enforce pool and facility rules consistently and professionally.
• Complete daily opening/closing procedures and safety inspections.
• Assist with facility cleanliness and program support as needed.
