Job summary

Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) seeks qualified candidates for a part-time lifeguard position across Catonsville, Dundalk, and Essex campuses. The role requires vigilance, emergency response, and strong customer service to ensure swimmer safety.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or GED, at least 18 years old, and six months lifeguard experience with a valid ARC/BSA/YMCA certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Six months of lifeguard experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Certifications from ARC, BSA, or YMCA required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons and respond to emergencies.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies; provide care until EMS arrives.
• Present professional appearance and attitude at all times.
• Maintain a high standard of customer service.
• Inspect the pool and report unsafe conditions or equipment to supervisor.
• Oversee identification cards and health/incident/waiver forms.
• Prepare activity reports (eg health surveys, sign-in sheets).
• Enforce all pool policies and regulations.
• Provide a high level of customer service.
