Qualifications

• One or more seasons of lifeguard or swim instructor experience is desirable.
• Experience working with children of all ages in a group setting is preferred.
• Leadership, volunteer work, or recreation activities experience is highly desirable.
• Must be at least 16 years of age or older; 11th grade or higher; under 18 may need a Work Permit.

Responsibilities

• Ensure pool safety and enforce pool rules and regulations.
• Rescue swimmers in danger and administer CPR/first aid as needed.
• Inspect pool area for cleanliness and perform routine maintenance; keep logs and reports.
