Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent nursing experience required.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience with individuals with disabilities.
• Valid RN license required.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to calculate medication dosages.
• Ability to establish a supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports.
• Ability to present facts and recommendations clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment and health care procedures ordered by a physician and in line with professional standards or law.
• Ensure individuals attend medical appointments per their ISP.
• Notify supervisor of concerns related to nursing services.
• Develop and update ISP/PCP with interdisciplinary team, noting concerns and progress.
• Train employees on medical needs of assigned individuals.
• Monitor health conditions and refer to medical services as needed.
• Monitor medication administration and maintain logs.
• Ensure program documentation and billing records are accurate and timely.
• Build and maintain relationships with community members, businesses, and families to support individuals.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned and cooperate with inspections.

We are now hiring a skilled Part-Time Licensed Vocational NurseinEl Paso,TX. The L.V.N. delivers care to individuals in a community setting utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. This person will interact with individuals, significant others, and health team members while maintaining the standards of professional nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment and health care procedures ordered by a physician and required by the standards of professional practice or law
• Ensure individuals attend medical appointments per their Individual Support Plan (ISP)
• Advisesupervisor of all concerns and issues related to the provision of nursing services
• Develop and update Individual Support Plans (ISP)/Person Centered Plans (PCP) with an interdisciplinary team to include any concerns, observations, and behavioral developments
• Train employees on the medical needs of assigned individuals
• Monitor health and medical conditions of individuals and refer for medical services as needed
• Monitor the use of medications through medication administration logs
• Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately andtimely
• Build a support network for individuals by developing andmaintainingrelationships with community members, businesses, and families
• Additionaltasks and responsibilities may be assigned
• Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation

MinimumRequirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nursing field
• Minimum of one year of experience providing nursing services to individuals with disabilities
• Valid nursing license
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
• Ability to calculate figures related to medication dosages
• Ability toestablisha comfortable and supportive relationship with an individual receiving supports
