Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Licensed Patrol Coordination) in Bronx, NY. You will provide security, attend to residents, visitors, and staff, and support access control at a shelter location while maintaining a visible, friendly presence to deter incidents.

As a part-time role, you can build a flexible schedule and join a team that emphasizes customer service, de-escalation, and safety.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and/or service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a shelter setting.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, common areas, entrances, exterior perimeter, and assigned grounds to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, document observations and incidents, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly, respectful environment by providing a visible presence and supporting de-escalation efforts when appropriate.
