The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. seeks a Part-Time Reference Assistant to help students discover information and resources, support learning, research, and academicsuccess by connecting students, faculty, staff, and communitymembers with library services in a welcoming environment.

You’ll assist patrons with research questions by navigating the library’s collections, discovery tools, online databases, and other authoritative resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited institution required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons with research questions using the library’s collections, discovery tools, online databases, and other authoritative resources.
• Support library instruction by assisting with orientations, information literacy sessions, and classroom preparation, and may lead instructional sessions as needed.
• Contribute to the creation of research guides, promote library resources, answer questions at the Information Desk, assist with printing, scanning, and other library services.
• Collaborate with library colleagues to ensure every visitor has a positive and productive library experience.
