Job summary

The Indian Creek Library for the City of Olathe is seeking a Customer Service Representative II to serve as the first point of contact for customers, handling inquiries, account support, and service requests in person, by phone, or online.

This part-time position (20 to 29 hours) offers KPERS benefits, a pay range of $18.62 to $20.30 per hour, and opportunities to assist with programs and events while delivering friendly, knowledgeable service to our community.

Qualifications

• Two years of administrative or customer relations experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• English proficiency required; Spanish and American Sign Language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides information to customers for City services (in person, by phone, or online).
• Supports customers in obtaining information across city services and expands knowledge of city programs.
• Makes decisions on how to resolve customer service needs with limited direction.
• Uses multiple computer applications to initiate and process service requests and inquiries.
• Maintains elevated knowledge of systems to support fellow staff and provide training.
