Job summary

Three Rivers Regional Library System is seeking a Part-Time Library Assistant for Hog Hammock Public Library in Sapelo Island, GA. You will assist patrons, manage circulation, respond to inquiries, and support program delivery.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with preference for some college and at least one year in a customer service role. Local library experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: some college education.
• One year of experience in a public/customer service role.
• Comfortable with technology for business purposes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons with check-in/out, holds, fines, and card issuance.
• Guide patrons to online resources and databases.
• Support collection management and shelving tasks.
• Plan and promote library programs and displays.
• Perform routine administrative tasks and data entry.
