Job summary

The National Museum of Women in the Arts is seeking a part-time Development Department Intern to support legacy giving and donor stewardship. The role involves research, donor engagement, communications, and special projects, with a focus on strengthening relationships with Legacy Society members.

Qualifications

• Applicants must reside in the DC region and be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Strong research, writing, and organizational skills with ability to synthesize information.
• Interest in nonprofit fundraising, museums, or donor engagement is preferred.
• Comfortable interviewing and communicating with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Support legacy giving and donor stewardship through research and engagement.
• Organize donor information and prepare summaries for Development staff.
• Draft content for a Legacy Society newsletter and stewardship calendar.
• Present findings and recommendations to the Development team at internship end.
• Attend development meetings and gain exposure to fundraising and cross-department collaboration.
