Job summary

Tarrant County College is seeking a Specialist II, Learning Commons - WritingCenter at the Southeast Campus. The role provides front-line customer service to students, employees, and the public in the Learning Commons, with cross-training across clerical, library, and learning support duties.

Part-time, temporary position (max 19.5 hours per week) with a starting pay of $20.10 per hour. Schedule is Mon–Fri 7:30am–5:00pm and Sat 10:00am–4:00pm, with occasional changes; remote work is not

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 60 college hours and one year of related experience or equivalent.
• Experience in customer service and front-line support preferred.
• Familiarity with library or learning center roles is a plus.
• Willingness to cross-train across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line customer service to students, staff, and public.
• Assist with clerical, library, learning lab, and other duties across Learning Commons.
• Oversee front desk operations, scheduling, and communications.
• Support resources and troubleshooting for printers, copiers, scanners, and IT needs.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and security practices within the Learning Commons.
