Job summary

Tarrant County College is seeking a Specialist I, Learning Commons (Math Center) to support front-line customer service at the Northeast Campus. You will assist with clerical tasks, manage the front desk, and help learners with resources, tutoring, and basic lab activities across multiple functions of the Learning Commons.

The role emphasizes tutoring, equipment help, and collaboration with faculty to support student success and engagement. Availability for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum a High school diploma or GED with related experience.
• Preferred STEM-related degree and solid math background.
• Experience tutoring or teaching Math/Physics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist at front desk and manage daily Learning Commons operations.
• Provide tutoring support to students in Math/Physics.
• Support clerical, library and tech functions as needed.
• Engage patrons, answer questions, and guide resources.
