Job summary

Tarrant County College is seeking a Specialist II for the Learning Commons at the Northwest Campus. This role provides front-line customer service and cross-trains across clerical, library, and learning lab duties to support students and staff.

Typical hours are 7:30am–4:30pm with occasional evenings and weekends as needed. This is a full-time, regular position not eligible for remote work.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 60 college hours and one year of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong customer service and multitasking abilities are required.
• Familiarity with library, learning lab, or academic support environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line customer service to students, employees, and the public at the Learning Commons.
• Assist with clerical, library, learning lab, and other duties as needed.
• Oversee front desk operations, appointment scheduling, and calendar management.
• Assist with materials inventory and basic IT support for printers, copiers, and scanners.
• Support resources access, including databases, library materials, and maker space tools.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, orderly, and welcoming learning environment.
