Job summary

Tarrant County College Connect Campus seeks a part-time Supplemental Instruction Specialist I to provide front-line student and public support within the Learning Commons. The role requires cross-training across clerical, library, and tutoring functions, ensuring smooth daily operations and a welcoming learning environment.

The incumbent supports tutoring, technology help, and workshops, coordinating with faculty to enhance student success while adhering to campus policies and safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with one year of related experience.
• Preferred: at least one completed college course and twelve undergraduate credits with a 3.0+ GPA.
• Preferred: one undergrad course with a grade of B or higher in Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Geography, Government, History, Philosophy, Psychology, or Mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line customer service to students, employees, and the public.
• Oversee front desk, calendar management, and communications.
• Assist with library, learning lab, and maker-space activities including equipment and technology.
• Support tutoring, coaching, and academic workshops in collaboration with faculty.
• Maintain workplace punctuality, complete trainings, and support college mission.
