Job summary

Family Resource Home Care in Oregon seeks a Lead Caregiver to support clients with a range of daily living activities and to train new caregivers. The role requires flexibility for short-notice shifts across assigned branches and providing reliable coverage on weekdays and/or weekends.

Pay rate starts at 21.00 per hour, with consistent hours and 7-day support from branch staff, scheduling, and travel time compensation. Orientation and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a state and national background check.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance with a clean driving record.
• Active NAC/CNA or HCA license preferred but not required.
• One year of home care, AFH, hospital, or nursing home experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Caregiver duties include fill-ins, new clients, and training shifts.
• Available to work on short notice during assigned availability across branches.
• Provide care services and support for clients in activities of daily living.

Lead Caregiver Summary

Our Lead Caregivers are experienced individuals who help with our most critical shifts. This includes but is not limited to fill-ins, new clients and training shifts with new caregivers. The primary responsibilities include the Caregiver Job Duties listed below. Our Lead Caregivers must be available to work on short notice during their assigned availability times with clients in any of their assigned branches service areas.

Lead Caregiver Schedule: Monday - Friday or Thursday - Monday / 8AM to 6PM or 9AM to 7PM

Lead Caregiver Pay Rate: 21.00

Caregiver Job Duties

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Transporting clients for errands or appointments in your car
• Assisting with gait belt or Hoyer transfers
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition

Additional Information

• Oregon only – If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to pass a state and national background check
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record
• Active state NAC/CNA or HCA license preferred but not required
• One year experience in home care, AFH, hospital or nursing home setting
• Ability to lift to 50lbs
• Ability to provide more than companionship care and work with different care levels
• Smart phone with ability to download and utilize the AxisCare app
• WA Only – Current valid CEs if you are an HCA
