Job summary

Omega Senior Living seeks a part-time cook to prepare meals according to the menu while assisting with service. The role requires adherence to Omega Dining standards, proper portioning, and safe handling of foods.

You will support dietary requirements and maintain kitchen cleanliness daily. Experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred; applicants should possess a high school diploma and any required local food handling licenses.

Qualifications

• Must be able to prepare meals and assist with meal service.
• Knowledge of sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules.
• Knowledge of special diets and dietary requirements.
• Must obtain/hold local or state food handling/supervision licenses and/or certifications.
• Preferred experience in a commercial kitchen as a line cook.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all food according to the menu in a safe, sanitary manner under supervision.
• Ensures proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods according to recipes.
• Fulfills resident special meal requests and adheres to dietary requirements.
• Maintains inventory of food and kitchen non-food items.
• Cleans and maintains kitchen and storage areas.
