Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Cashier/Stocker who can lead in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. You will assist with plan-o-grams, customer service, and store profitability while protecting assets and reducing losses.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking merchandise, maintaining displays, and operating the cash register with friendly service. Six months of supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform math calculations (addition, subtraction, percentages).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, safety, and loss-prevention policies.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to store procedures.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; build displays.
• Assist customers by locating items and answering questions.
• Operate register, bag merchandise, and handle payments.
