Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Lactation Consultant RN in Marble Falls, TX for part-time days. You will educate parents and staff, guide breastfeeding protocols, and provide bedside support to ensure healthy feeding practices within the hospital.

The role requires RN licensure with BLS, and Lactation Consultant certification. You will work autonomously in a collaborative labor and delivery setting with a focus on infant health and parental education.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• RN license and BLS certification required.
• Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC) or IBCLC certification required.

Responsibilities

• Educate parents and staff on breastfeeding; provide consultations, materials, and classes.
• Assess interest of parent and baby in breastfeeding.
• Provide bedside consultations and follow-up visits in the hospital.
• Update staff on breastfeeding protocols and care plans.
• Document teachings and findings and share with relevant staff.
• Assess breastfeeding program effectiveness and implement changes.
• Collect data and report neonatal outcomes related to breastfeeding.
• Provide information and demonstrations about breast pump rentals or purchases.
