Champions for Children, Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking a part-time Lactation Consultant (8 hours/week, non-exempt). The role involves intake, triage, scheduling, consultations, and case assignments under the ABC Program Manager. Hourly pay ranges from $26.00 to $30.00, depending on experience.

Position hours are scheduled for Wednesdays at Baby Cafés in Clearwater and St. Petersburg. IBCLC certification is preferred, with bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• IBCLC certification or equivalent required or preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Professional, self-directed with prompt responsiveness to stakeholders.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Must be sensitive to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the population served.
• Reliable vehicle, Florida driver's license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Triage and screen lactating participants.
• Adhere to Baby Café standards of care.
• Follow IBLCE Code of Conduct and practice competencies.
• Provide lactation consultations at Baby Cafés, by phone, or video as needed.
• Complete provider communications, charting, and documentation.
• Provide client follow up and referrals.
• Cover for other ABC staff at Baby Cafés when needed.
• Deliver, pick-up, and clean electric breast pumps as needed.
• Attend all meetings and trainings as requested.
• Provide client data accurately and timely.
