Job summary

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a Part-Time IBCLC Lactation Consultant to join the Clinical Nutrition team at Arthur M. Blank Hospital. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to provide lactation services and education for hospitalized mothers and infants.

The role requires experience with pediatric populations and strong communication skills, enabling you to design care plans, educate families, and support breastfeeding goals across the patient population.

Qualifications

• Experience in pediatric populations from birth through early childhood.
• Excellent communication and teaching abilities.
• Ability to work within an interdisciplinary patient care team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates expertise in care of mothers/infants with complex breastfeeding problems.
• Determines breastfeeding plan and provides instruction and support to mothers.
• Evaluates lactation performance and pumping needs.
• Implements standards of care and policies for breastfeeding management.
• Offers teaching and educational materials to patients and staff.
• Leads lactation education for nursing and nutrition teams.
