Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, NJ is seeking a part-time Laboratory Assistant to support laboratory operations, inventory, and clerical tasks. You will assist with specimen handling, data entry, and daily prep work in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 1 year of clerical experience (typing 45 wpm) and excellent communication skills; some college is a plus. Salary of $18.14/hr with evening/night/weekend differentials is offered.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inventory control and ordering of supplies.
• Maintain, clean, and decontaminate benches and equipment; triage specimens as needed.

• Support department with data entry and restocking of supplies.
• Maintain clean and safe laboratory prep areas and equipment.
• Follow SOPs and regulations for safety and quality.
