Job summary

Advocate Health’s Carolinas Medical Center - Lab is seeking a part-time phlebotomy technician to collect and process blood samples and nonblood specimens with accuracy and efficiency. You will register patients, provide phone support, and maintain documentation according to SOPs.

The role requires knowledge of lab procedures, safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment. 24 hours per week with a competitive hourly pay range of $19.80–$29.70.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Certification in phlebotomy preferred where phlebotomy is a duty.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred where applicable.
• Knowledge of lab techniques and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Collect and process patient blood samples via venipuncture/capillary puncture.
• Process nonblood specimens timely and accurately.
• Perform phlebotomy following age-specific procedures.
• Maintain documentation and reports per standards.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment and systems.
