Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist for Carolinas Medical Center Lab. The 24-hour-per-week position involves collecting and processing blood specimens, assisting with routine lab tests, and patient registration in a fast-paced clinical setting.

A High School diploma or GED is required, with phlebotomy certification preferred. Schedule is first shift 6:00a-2:00p or 6:00a-6:30p; benefits eligible and training opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred where phlebotomy is assigned duty.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collects and processes patient blood specimens by venipuncture/capillary puncture.
• Performs routine nonblood specimen processing and basic lab tests.
• Registers patients and supports lab staff with documentation and sample labeling.
