Job summary

Grace Community Church seeks a part-time Kitchen Ministry Coordinator to lead its commercial kitchen operations. You will equip staff and volunteers to prepare safe, welcoming meals for ministry events and community gatherings, while developing systems and training teams.

You will ensure health compliance, maintain policies, and oversee inventory, scheduling, and equipment. CFPM certification and hospitality experience are required to support Gospel-centered hospitality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in food service, hospitality, or related setting.
• Current CFPM certification.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and commercial kitchen operation.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to recruit, train, and lead volunteers.
• Comfort using technology in ministry contexts.

Responsibilities

• Steward the church's commercial kitchen to support events and hospitality.
• Develop and maintain kitchen policies and usage guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
• Serve as CFPM and oversee food safety practices.
• Train staff and volunteers in food handling and sanitation.
• Recruit, develop, and support kitchen volunteers.
• Coordinate kitchen scheduling and usage requests.
• Communicate expectations to ministry leaders and event coordinators.
• Oversee inventory, purchasing, labeling, and storage.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and preventative service.
• Provide event support with ministry leaders for success.
