Job summary

Wooddale Church in Minnesota seeks a Cook/Kitchen Steward to support the Food Services Director in daily kitchen operations, church events, catering, and academy and coffee shop services. You will prepare high-quality meals, assist with events, manage food receiving, storage, and sanitation, and ensure safety and hospitality standards across all locations.

Qualifications

• Three years of culinary or food service experience preferred.
• ServSafe Manager Certification required or ability to obtain within the required timeframe.
• Valid MN driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to established recipes, menus, and quality standards.
• Assist with daily food production and preparation.
• Prepare meals for church events, catering, Academy programs, staff meals, and coffee shop operations.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and sanitation; assist with dishwashing and closing duties.
• Identify and report maintenance, safety, sanitation, or equipment concerns to leadership.
